" Functionally extinct", a six week trawl of the Yangtze river by a team of 30 scientists, has turned up not one of these river dolphins. They agree that it is possible that one or two may have been out, or at the shops, during the extensive sonar search, however a population of 20-25 would be needed to have a chance of survival. Back in 1997 they found 13, today none....
